2017 workshops below. 2018 information coming soon!

Joy for the Journey: Choosing to find Joy every day
Presenter: Mary Combs

Hear one woman’s story about choosing joy and the ripple effect it had on those around her. Learn some practical ways to recognize and record the little things in life that bring you joy and how this practice can affect your life and those around you. In this class, you will make your own joy jar & notecards. No creative/crafty gene needed!

Living the Single Life Well
Presenter: Judy Lang, M.Div

Whether we are single by choice or circumstance, for a lifetime or a season, we are called to seek deep relationships, to grow in grace, use our gifts, and participate fully in the unfolding Kingdom of God. What helps singles thrive? What challenges must we deal with to experience the wholeness God intends for us? In what ways might God work through our wholeness in singleness?

Car Care Workshop: "Cruise with Confidence"
Presenter: Dawn Mettler, Manager of Stanwood Car Care

Join in for this engaging, must-know car care workshop. Learn valuable Do’s and Don’ts when facing anything from a flat tire to dashboard warning signs, and leave with the confidence you need when dealing with your personal vehicle or the auto repair shop. Knowledge FOR women, BY a woman!

What's Your Encore?
Presenter: Judy Lang, M.Div

Adults 55 to 75 (and better) comprise the “encore generation.” Redefining retirement, challenging stereotypes of aging, many are bringing new life and hope to their communities. Christians in the encore generation see the time ahead as a gift, just as the learning and skills they acquired along the way were gifts. Called and gifted by God, they step into opportunities for ministry and mission with energy, imagination, and love. For those of us who follow Christ, preparing for our encore calling is a matter of joyful stewardship in response to the generous grace of God. In this interactive workshop you will discover resources to help you prepare for your encore.

Break Every Chain
Presenter: Kate Grennell

Does what we see in ourselves match up with what God sees in us? We will look at some ways we minimize the Gospel without even thinking about it. Jesus pursues us. His work on the cross was about more than forgiveness, it was for healing and WHOLENESS. That means letting go of our scarlet letters, opening our hearts to receive the healing Jesus died to offer, and accepting that He isn't finished with us yet!

ABCs of Jesus
Presenter: Misty Steinloski

Practical, age appropriate ideas to help children connect with God, including how to share your faith with them.
